What Do You Collect? Audrey Clark

Welcome to the next installment of "What do you collect?"

Audrey was one of the first people I met when we opened the store. She's a rocker, she's cool, and she collects all sorts of things from the 1950's. Audrey could have chosen to showcase her pulp novel, vintage advertising signs, Alice in Wonderland, or hen collections, but this morning we decided to focus on her amazing Fiestaware.

Name: Audrey Clark

Age: 51

Occupation: Full time rocker/Voice & Guitar instructor, Marblehead School Of Music

How many years in Marblehead? 48

What do you collect? Fiestaware

How long have you collected Fiestaware? 20 Years

How many pieces are in your collection? 30-40

What's the price range? $60 - $300 per piece.

Why do you collect Fiestaware? "It reminds me of my youth at my Grandma's house. I like the bright colors."

What's your favorite piece in your collection?  "The red glaze mixing bowl that I'm holding. It's from the 1930's and is made with lead. You can put a piece of fruit in it at night and wake up and it will be all shriveled up."

What's your biggest score? "I went to a local auction and I bought 15 pieces for $100."
